Wind and Water...What a mess!!

The strong winds a few weeks ago really caused a lot of damage to our screen room. The screens were all custom made, so replacing them is going to be a challenge. We have waited for weeks for the insurance adjuster to come and take pictures. Here are some pics of the damage.

The wind was so strong that it picked up a really heavy swing that was on the back porch and threw it all the way across the pool and up against the screen room. The pool cover was pulled out of eight stakes and blown across the pool. We also had a concrete block and lots of other debris blown into the pool.

The wind also turned over Drew's boat and trailer. The only damage that we can see that happened to the boat was a broken propeller.

We also lost some trees that were knocked down. We really hated to loose these trees that we planted 20 years ago.

So much for the wind damage. Yesterday we decided to go over and stay at the lake for the first time this season. We got over there with lots of plans to do all of the chores necessary to open the house and as soon as Gene turned on the water, we had a flood in the kitchen. So we had to empty the cabinets and clean up the mess. It's a good thing that Gene is off next week...he now has a plumbing problem to fix.

Here is the new corner nook that Gene just installed. I really like it.

Oh well, just another problem..........

Sir Topemhat is Pleased

Aaron loves his Thomas the Train set. Yesterday I went to visit and took him "Salty" to add to his collection. He said, "Sir Topemhat is pleased".

and another train picture. Notice that his pants are even Thomas the Train.

We still can't get him to be in a picture with his sister. This is the closest I could come yesterday.

Sarah really perks up when her brother is in the room. I don't know if it is just a facination with him or her thinking that she needs to be "on alert" in case he throws something.

Sarah had to go to the doctor for her check-up. She had to have 3 shots and she was not happy about it. She now weighs over 13 lbs. She is in the 95th percentile for weight and 25th percentile for height.

Order in the Court

Aaron came to visit us at the office. I wanted to take a picture of him in front of the picture of his deceased Great-Grandfather. This portrait hangs in the Judges Chamber at the private entrance into the courtroom. While Poppy held Aaron up for the picture, Aaron said "Poppy, too" It was almost as if he new that was his Great-Grandfather.

Aaron had a good time playing in the courtroom.

Here he is looking for the gavel. "I want that hammer"

Whew, another tough day at the office.

Catching Up

Sarah was introduced at Church on February 7th It was a beautiful day and she looked so beautiful. Here are some pics of that day. Notice the proud parents in the background.

One week later, on Feb. 14th, Sarah is baptized. It was a very special day. She was such a good girl and only cried when she was put into the water.

Rebecca is Sarah's Godmother. She bought her a beautiful gown and cross. Thank you Rebecca!

Rebecca also provided wonderful finger foods for the reception following the Baptism. Aaron enjoyed himself at the reception because he got Percy the Train.
