Vacation Recap

We spent the first night at Walnut Hills KOA in Staunton VA. It was a nice campground and we enjoyed sitting by the little spring.

Sunset from out campsite at First Landing State Park on the Chesapeake Bay

The bay was full of tankers. I wish they would bring more oil in and lower the gas prices.

The state park has a great bike path. We rode many miles while we were there. Gene was talking to Drew on the phone.

This is our site at First Landing State Park. The sites were all secluded. We couldn't even see another camper from our site.

We had one rainy day while we were there so we went to the aquarium. It was nice, but not as good as others we have visited. A good day to spend a rainy day.

On the way back we stopped and spent the night at Claytor Lake State Park in Dublin VA. This building was their visitors center. Virginia has wonderful state parks. They put a lot of money and work into them. We would like to visit more of them.

We drove thru an area of Virginia that has a tornado the week before we came thru. The devastation was unreal the pics don't really show it.
