Our porch swing cushion was a mess and I couldn't find one that was the same size; so I had this new shower curtain that I had bought a few years ago and i just used it and covered the old cushion with it...works good and is water repellant. It is actually black and white, but my camera does strange things to color sometimes.

Rainy Day projects...continued
I am trying to catch up on a lot of projects (anything to keep from cleaning the house :) )
Our porch swing cushion was a mess and I couldn't find one that was the same size; so I had this new shower curtain that I had bought a few years ago and i just used it and covered the old cushion with it...works good and is water repellant. It is actually black and white, but my camera does strange things to color sometimes.
Then, I had some fabric remnants that I have had for years and decided to make a draw string back pack to take to the camping shows and on our camping trips. This was my first experience working with grommets and it went well. I like to use these light weight back packs because they free your hands up.

Well, if this weather stays gloomy, I will be fat, but have lots of craft projects complete.

Lesson for the day! Don't make craft projects without a Pattern!
This year the grandkids were really into the gingerbread man. Aaron had a gingerbread man festival at his school. So, all through the holiday we cut out and colored gingerbread men. We even made homemade play dough and cut out gingerbread men. We made cookies for Santa and the reindeer and the cookies were shaped like gingerbread men. So, on this snowy, cold day I decided to make them some plush gingerbread men. I ran across the brown plush fabric in amongst all my remnants and decided to make them. Well, I didn't have a pattern or anything, so I just decided to wing it. Well, here is the result. We laughed and laughed at the finished products. The "gingerbread girl" came out looking like a voodoo hooker.....too funny!
