The Grandkids came to visit

We bought them both big wheels to ride while they were here.  Sarah loved hers.  She would absolutely fly on it and then throw her legs up and then raise her hands in the air....no hands, no feet....it had a music player on it and she would always have it on.  she loved it.

We had some awesome TBall games.  Aaron always won!

Sarah ALWAYS wanted it to be her turn to bat....she didn't like to play the outfield.  We actually played in the back yard.  We just took some batting practice on the concrete.

Our sweet little princess....striking a pose

No visit to Kentucky would be complete without a ride in the back of a pick up truck...we just rode up the driveway.  We actually all walked down the driveway to see the horses and the princess got tired, so the Mimi walked back to the house and got the truck and came and picked them up.

The craft of the day was painting...Sarah is an excellent painter.
Aaron's BDay cake....I can't believe he is already 6.

Aaron's craft for the day was his idea!  A robot costume.

Sarah helped me make cheddar cheese biscuits to go with our spaghetti!  They were very good, but she said making them was icky!

Aaron is a water dog.  Here he is relaxing in the pool!

This craft project was making a giant spider for Aaron and a doll for Sarah.

The Orange Leaf....an awesome place.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks with the kids...we did lots and lots of projects and spent a lot of time in the pool.

My aunt passed away the second week that the kids were here, so that was pretty hard for me.  Poppy had to miss work to keep the kids while I went to her funeral by myself.  It was so sad.  She was my last Aunt on my daddy's side of the family.........the circle is now unbroken.  RIP Aunt Shirley.

Project De Jour

I made a seat cushion for Aaron's booster seat.  It was an easy quick project.  I layered the batting 6 times and it still isn't as soft as I would like.  So, my project for the afternoon will be a SpongeBob pillow for princess Sarah!
