Sunday I decided to go and visit with mother and dad. I got there about 4:00 pm. I did the usual cleaning and stuff that I always do when I go over there. I took Monday off and took them to Harlan to eat lunch and shop a little. While we were eating, Daddy's left hand started drawing up. I tried to stay calm and just get them out of the restaurant. His hand finally opened back up after we rubbed and rubbed it, but I was still worried, so after we left the restaurant, I headed for his doctors office. I didn't tell him that I was taking him to the dr. until we pulled into the parking lot. He refused to get out of the car, so I went in and got his Dr. and he came out to the car and did a stroke analysis on daddy. The doctor didn't find anything wrong with him, but didn't really know what caused his hand to draw up.
I had a good visit with Drew and Lindsay this weekend. They got me the new Nicholas Sparks book for my birthday. I love his books! His writing has that "take me away" feeling....so good and much needed!
Yea! Spring is finally creeping in...we are supposed to get in the 60's this weekend! Time to start getting my tan on :)

ReplyDeleteI feel for you so much. I remember driving Moma to Lexington, knowing she was in the middle of a stroke. They didn't have that shot back then. Does the Dr. think it might have been a TIA?
Well, I am glad you can escape into your books. Those are Annie's favorites too. You guys should trade around, because she has everyone of his. I'll tell Lauren you are proud of her.
