A Family Gathers

The Clark Family gathered to say goodbye to the last sibling of my father-in-law. She passed away last June, but due to health problems of her children, they were not able to have a service at the time of her death. So, yesterday the family gathered at the family cemetery to bury her cremated remains. It was a nice service at a beautiful location.

After the memorial service we all went to the Cedar Lodge, a local bed and breakfast for refreshments and some "catching up with family" time. I met a lot of family members that I had never met in my almost 37 years of being in this family, and got to catch up with family members that I rarely get to see. The weather was perfect and it was a very enjoyable day.

Thanks so much for that post. I have really enjoyed trying to identify the others. I look forward to talking with you and Gene about it more, when we see each other. I am really so sorry that I had to miss Aunt Duck's memorial, she was always my favorite. Moma and Daddy always said that I was her favorite also. I will never forget when I was about 6 or 7 that she and Uncle Owen went to Hawaii and brought me back a "grass skirt". Believe it or not, I still have that skirt.
Who could have ever predicted that they would have her service while I was in Albuquerque with Elsa and Titus.... Well, all things happen for a reason and I again, thank you for the blog post.
    Lovingly,
    Sharon
