Goodbye Summer!

Time to start doing all of the end of summer stuff. We put a new cover on the River Hawk. It didn't get much use this summer. But, maybe it will get a lot more use when Drew gets out of law school. It is a really unique boat. It is a flat bottom canoe. It has an 8 hp Mercury and a trolling motor.

The pool man came today to put the winter cover on the pool. Hopefully this one will weather storms better than the one we had last year. We had planned on putting a hard cover on it, but since the babies won't be here, we just went with the old type cover.

I'm not very sad to see the summer end. It wasn't much of a summer anyway. It never did get really hot and it rained just about all summer. We will probably wait about a month before we bring the other boats out of the lake. We hope to get some fishing in before cold weather sets in. All of the experts say that we are going to have a mild, above average temperature, and dry winter....Ha! It will probably be very, very, cold with constant snow! All that "global warming" I guess!
