Rainy Day Project

Ok, it is raining again. Not just raining, it is absolutely pouring. Here is a picture of the water coming out of the gutter. It was unreal.

Since it was too bad to go to the World Chicken Festival, I decided to work on the apron that I made for Gene to wear to the "Taste of Clay County" First I had to find a picture of a gavel on the internet. I printed the picture and cut it out to see if it would fit on the apron.It fit just fine, so then I had to go to the Walmart and buy some transfer paper. So I run to the walmart and come back and print the picture off on the transfer paper. Then I had to cut the picture out again.
I bought some T-shirt lights to add a little "bling" to the apron and I couldn't decide where to put the lights, so my sister came to the rescue and helped me. So, while she determined the lights placement, I ironed the pictures onto the apron. My sister installed the lights and it turned out really cute. Here it is! Thanks sis, for your help!

So, even though the weather is very bad today, I accomplished something that I needed to get done. Now, I just have to fix apple dumplings for 150 people a week from Thursday.
