Serial Killer Mom

This time of year I always think about the movie "Serial Killer Mom". When I was growing up it was absolutely FORBIDDEN to wear white pants, white shorts, white skirts or white dresses after Labor Day. We also were not allowed to wear shoes without toes or heals. Any straw accessories such as purses or hats were also put away. And, no matter how hot it was outside, we had to put on T-shirts. And since white T-shirts were considered "underwear", we had to wear another shirt over it. This RULE had to be adhered to until Easter, when the whites and sandals could come back out and t-shirts were thankfully put away. I know that there is no rhyme or reason for these rules of dress; but when they are engraved on your brain all of your life, it is hard to get past it. I still look with distaste on people who wear white after Labor Day, but I am slowly getting past that, but the movie "Serial Killer Mom" always makes me laugh and reminds me that this fashion law is just silly. I just have one word for everyone
